Gavin Newsom extends his political footprint . . . to New York City?

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

The Lite Guv and Current TV host does get around. He co-hosted a fundraiser in Los Angeles last week for New York City Councilwoman Jessica Lappin, who’s expected to run for Manhattan borough president next year. Here’s how he’s quoted in City & State, which track’s New York politics and government:

“When you take a look at what she’s accomplished, not just what she has promoted or asserted, it’s a pretty impressive record. I’m looking for more leadership from someone who’s demonstrated a remarkable capacity for leadership. She obviously is one of the bright, rising stars across this country.”
