LA Times hires away Chris O’Brien from Mercury News

The LA Times has plucked Chris O’Brien from the Mercury News to be its new technology reporter covering Silicon Valley. O’Brien is a 13-year veteran at the Merc with deep experience covering Apple and who recently headed the re-launch of the newspaper’s technology blog while writing his Silicon Valley business columns.
