Mediation fails, Twinkies look like goners

After a last-ditch four-hour hearing, the federal judge who intervened today approved Hostess Brands’ plans to wind itself down. So after 82 years, the maker of Ho Hos, Ding Dongs, Wonder Bread and the iconic Twinkie, does indeed appear finished, the NYT says.
