Assemblywoman and convicted shoplifter Mary Hayashi, whose deep pockets and successful avoidance of her legal woes during the campaign had some pundits regarding her as a threat to win the supervisor seat recently held by drug-and-sex scandal plagued Nadia Lockyer, appears to have finished third in a pack of four candidates.
