The hotshot Texas lawyer with a reputation for sticking it to big corporations, and whose Houston firm raked in half a billion dollars as part of a class action suit against BP over the Gulf oil spill, is now in the mix against Chevron over its Richmond refinery fire. He’s been called in by Oakland civil rights attorney John L. Burris, who also knows his way around high-profile cases. Burris has 4,800 clients and two cases set for state court involving the Chevron fiasco, the Contra Costa Times says.
