Developer wants to demolish iconic theater for sporting goods store

Bay Area’s next iconic movie palace to bite the dust? Looks like it could be Pleasant Hill’s half-century old domed theater, the CineArts, operated as an art house by Cinemark Theaters. A developer wants to demolish it and put in a Dick’s Sporting Goods store, the Contra Costa Times says.
