For Bay Area college’s women’s basketball team, an undisputed stand-out

At 6-8, 220 pounds, and tattoos on her arms and legs, Gabrielle (“Gabbi”) Ludwig gets your attention when she suits up for Santa Clara’s Mission College women’s basketball team. And not just because, at age 50, she’s more than twice the age of her teammates. She’s also transsexual. And she’s no basketball novice.
