Mayor’s top staff knew about problems with housing chief Henry Alvarez

Tuesday, December 4, 2012

Employees have begun co come out of the woodwork over at the San Francisco Housing Authority since the Chronicle’s story Sunday about the lawsuit (by the agency’s own attorney) against director Henry Alvarez for alleged racist and other jerk-like behavior. There’s now a second lawsuit against Alvarez.

The question that arises from today’s piece by Heather Knight is how Mayor Ed Lee couldn’t have known, as he claims, of accusations against his hand-picked appointee when several of the mayor’s top staffers have known for months.
