Mercury News re-heats a week-old Oakland story for its Oakland edition

Thursday a week ago the Mercury News ran a piece about the imminent retirement (last Saturday) of Oakland Public Library director Carmen Martinez. And today the Merc’s Oakland Tribune edition runs the same piece on its web portal, albeit slightly edited (and this time unbylined). Instead of “is set to retire Saturday,” the second sentence ends, “retired Saturday.”
