More rain on the way, record holiday travel predicted, Oakland records its 123rd homicide of the year, more.
  • More rain is on the way for the Bay Area, with the heaviest concentration likely to begin Friday. Chronicle
  • Travel forecasters at AAA are predicting that holiday travel in California will set a new record, with an estimated 11.7 million Californians saying they expect to travel at least 50 miles in the next two weeks. Mercury News 
  • Oakland police have arrested two men and a boy in connection with the November murder of best friends, girls ages 15 and 16, near Brookdale Park. Chronicle
  • An Alabama man was arrested for pimping two teenage girls at a Rohnert Park hotel. KTVU 2
