Nadia Lockyer, still in drug rehab, doesn’t renew TRO against her ex-lover

Thursday, December 13, 2012

The troubled former Alameda County supervisor will probably remain in drug rehab in Southern California until early February—in advance of a scheduled pretrial hearing March 5 in Orange County for felony meth possession and misdemeanor child endangerment. Meanwhile, a restraining order by the estranged wife of state treasurer Bill Lockyer against her former lover, Stephen Chikhani, 36, of San Jose, has expired. Mark Ressa, a lawyer for Lockyer, tells the Mercury News’ Josh Richman that there’s no point in seeking to extend it since Lockyer isn’t in town:
“Hopefully she’s moving on with her life and Steve is moving on with his and we can put this matter behind us. Nadia will ultimately make that choice; we’ll see what happens.”
