Outlook is ‘bullish’ for ice hockey at the Cow Palace

Talk about a stroke of timing. The minor league San Francisco Bulls hockey team is averaging 4,597 fans per game at the Cow Palace so far in its debut season, helping fill the void left by the idling of the Sharks during the NHL lockout. Owner-coach Pat Curcio tells the Mercury News that’s double the threshold needed to make the franchise viable.
