He’s Dr. Mohammad Safi, 54, of Newark, who commutes down to Salinas Valley State Prison in Monterey County to go to work. And despite earning big bucks on the taxpayers’ dime—including $503,000 in 2011 for “on call” pay—he’s in trouble. He’s just been suspended for allegedly falsifying time sheets, the Mercury News says.
