49ers: Suddenly, Jim Harbaugh can do no wrong

Sunday, January 13, 2013

That wasn’t just a record-breaking monster performance by Colin Kaepernick in the 49ers’ 45-31 breeze past Green Bay Saturday. It was a page turner for the Jim Harbaugh era. Had the almost-rookie he installed after dumping Alex Smith following a concussion not fared well . . . let’s just say Harbaugh owes as much to Kaepernick as Kaepernick owes to the coach. As the Niners prepare to go to Atlanta for the NFC championship game, Harbaugh is a newly-christened genius and, in typical fashion, the Merc’s Tim Kawakami is writing about the Kaepernick Crucible.
