If you’ve noticed that the Ferry Building’s beloved clock hasn’t chimed in a while—and evidently lots of people have—it’s because the computerized system that makes it happen broke down last July. The good news: Port of San Francisco officials tell the Chronicle they’re about to fix it, as well as hook the chimes to a GPS time signal to keep them synchronized with the clock.
For whom the Ferry Building clock chimes: nobody, now
