A precursor today of what’s to come starting at the end of March: toll takers are to disappear from the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge authority began testing an all-electric tolling system in preparation for the big day, when, for the first time since the bridge opened in 1937, there will no humans collecting your money. And for that matter, no cash will be accepted. Marin IJ has the update.
