HBO preps for ‘Silicon Valley’ comedy pilot to film in spring

The dismal reception for “Start-Ups: Silicon Valley,” Randi Zuckerberg’s canceled and widely-panned reality show, isn’t dissuading HBO from a Silicon Valley project of its own. The pilot for “Silicon Valley,” a dark comedy from director Mike Judge (“Beavis and Butt-Head,” “King of the Hill”; that’s him pictured) will film in the spring, the Mercury News’ Chuck Barney says.

Eric Limer at Gizmodo says the pilot “might serve as an effective antidote to that reality TV schlock.”
