Muni’s best-paid mechanic earns . . . $293,000

Mayor Ed Lee’s first year was very good for Muni workers, it turns out. At least for some of them raking in big pay as part of the agency’s $18 million spike in overtime. The champ: Muni mechanic Khoa Trinh, whose salary for 2011-2012 was $293,370. A transit supervisor, one of those folks you see at street corners keeping an eye on the buses and trains, topped out at $147,446. Chronicle writes about it.
