Update from the popularity contest among San Francisco’s supervisors to see which of them gets to
sit at the head of the class be board President. The Chronicle’s Marisa Lagos handicaps it this way:
It appears that the contest will come down to the current president, District Three Supervisor David Chiu; the moderate District 10 representative, Malia Cohen; and District Six's Supervisor Jane Kim, who is more allied with the board's progressive factions and is reportedly being supported by Chinatown leader Rose Pak.
She says “Chiu seems to have the best chance of winning.” The Chronicle’s C. W. Nevius also pixelates about it today. Pak pal Willie Brown inserted a mild plug into his Sunday column, telling readers to “keep your eye” on Kim.
