Video at 11: ABC 7 news chopper helps cops nab Oakland laser pointer

How’s this for good reporting? After someone on the ground pointed a laser at both a CHP helicopter and an ABC 7 news chopper flying over East Oakland during a crime search Monday night, CHP called off the search. But unfortunately for the alleged perpetrator, the news crew came back with video of him aiming the laser from a house near 15th Street and 55th Avenue. Result: he’s busted, and faces three years in prison if convicted. Mercury News
