Fun to watch the news unfold about the competing developments along the Embarcadero, which is to say the Warriors’ arena and the Giants’ Mission Rock project. If one garners a bit of publicity, the other soon answers. Or so it seems. The latest rejoinder (after stories about the Warriors’ project kicking in for a new cruise ship berth) comes from the Giants, who are announcing Anchor Brewing Co. as the hoped-for Mission Rock’s first tenant, at Pier 48. That’s the brewing company’s rendering. Chronicle
