San Ramon-based Chevron just won’t give it up in its fight to avoid paying the property taxes on its Richmond refinery that Contra Costa County says it owes. The latest: the oil giant is trying to disqualify three members of the tax board that’s to hear its appeal. For those not keeping track, the company appealed its tax tab for 2007 to 2009, claiming the county wanted $73 million too much. But an appeals board found that Chevron not only wasn’t entitled to the $73 million, but paid $27 million too little. Contra Costa Times
