Chili Finger Lady cooks up another story—this time to help her son beat a rap

Friday, February 22, 2013

Anna Ayala, the South Bay woman who made headlines back in 2005 after claiming falsely that she’d found a severed finger in her chili at a fast-food restaurant, is back in the news. (Well, she did find it, but it was one that her hubby paid $100 for and that she put there.) This time she’s accused of helping her 26-year-old son lie about being shot. He claimed someone shot him for no apparent reason outside his mother’s home. Turns out he accidentally shot himself and tried to cover it up because he’s a probationer who isn’t supposed to have a gun. Mercury News
