Strange crime story of the day: The feds arrest a San Jose man who they say thought he was working with the Taliban when he tried to blow up a Bank of America branch at 303 Hegenberger Road near Oakland airport last night. Turns out there was never a danger of the explosive device going off. The suspect was caught up in a sting by undercover FBI agents, who had rendered it inoperable. Mercury News
