Obituaries
The former 49ers executive who began as a go-fer in 1946 and worked his way to become president before retiring in 1977 died Sunday in a San Francisco convalescent center. He was 92. Spadia spanned the team’s early days at Kezar Stadium to its move to Candlestick Park in 1971. In retirement he founded the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame. Obituary: Chronicle
