It’s been a year since Oakland unveiled its hoped-for Coliseum City concept for building new sports homes for the Raiders and A’s as part of a grand mixed-use development on the site where the teams play and their fans park. Status so far? Pretty much dead in the water, with the A’s unwilling to even talk about a stadium in Oakland; ditto the Warriors, who are fixed on jumping to San Francisco. That leaves the Raiders, and the bad news is that the NFL is unwilling to subsidize a new stadium in Oakland the way they did for the 49ers in Santa Clara. The Raiders aren’t generating enough stadium revenue. Mercury News
