Is the gnawing partisan debate over global climate change eroding Californians’ view of the problem? A new Field Poll would appear to suggest so. Although 64 percent of California voters believe there’s sufficient evidence of climate change to justify action (and 70 percent support the state’s law to reduce emissions to 1990 levels), that’s down from 76 percent in 2007.
