BAM6-1024x844
Construction has begun on the new Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, which is to open in 2016. BAM/PFA has raised $95 million in pledges toward the estimated $100 million cost of the facility being built at Center and Oxford streets, near the UC campus. It represents a long-needed replacement of BAM/PFA’s Bancroft Way facility, which doesn’t meet seismic standards. Press release has details. Berkeleyside posts with more renderings.
