A nude library tradition at Stanford takes a hit

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

If you were studying for finals at Green Library at Stanford Sunday night and waiting for a naked student to offer you a snack . . . too bad. It appears campus cops may have had enough of the tradition of students at the Columbae residential co-op handing out food goodies in the raw at the library during finals. The cops intercepted the students before they could enter, the Stanford Daily says. Senior Francisca Gilmore tells the newspaper:

“I don’t think the university will ever explicitly condone what we do, but we were disappointed that there was that level of reaction that we think is a positive contribution to making Stanford a little more diverse, crazy and exciting.”
