At Stanford, proposed earlier classes ignite a firestorm

About 1,700 students and counting have signed a petition slamming Stanford’s attempt to schedule classes as early as 8:30 in the morning—pretty standard at many colleges—so as to relieve pressure on heavily-booked lecture halls. The most popular classes on The Farm now begin no earlier than 10. Mercury News
