Chron’s Business Insider piece goes deep for a source at Yahoo

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

How’s this for sourcing? The Chronicle publishes some Business Insider content today about the grumbles at Yahoo over CEO Marissa Mayer’s alleged micromanaging, down to, for awhile apparently, personally approving every new hire and the all-hands meeting at which there were allegedly complaints about it. Here’s the part that stands out:

…We've been in contact with a source close to Yahoo employees who agrees with the complainers at the meeting.

This source tells us that Mayer has made the entire hiring process slow and bureaucratic.

A “source close to Yahoo employees”? Oh, go ahead, let your imagination run wild.
