The late German émigré Frank Golzen bought the slabs not long after the wall fell in 1989 and ended up putting them on display in a South Bay office park he owned. His estate donated them to Mountain View after his death in 2009 at age 92 and now the City Council has decided that the best place for them is on the lawn in front of the library at 585 Franklin Street, the Mercury News says.
