D-day at City College: Probation or death penalty?

Friday, March 15, 2013

Today’s the day that City College of San Francisco was to have fixed the 14 accrediting deficiencies cited last year by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges in order to remain open. And by its own acknowledgement the financially mismanaged college hasn’t cleaned them all up. Will the college lose its state funding and thus be shut down? Probation is probably a better bet. As for yesterday’s noisy march by faculty, students and activists on behalf of the college—theater arts. Chronicle

Most amusing sign at the rally: “Wake up SF! Carpetbaggers are stealing your college!”
