Good sign from the Bay Area real estate front: far fewer foreclosures

Foreclosure sales in the East Bay and the South Bay were at their lowest levels in six years in February—down more than 60 percent from a year ago, a new report from a company that tracks foreclosures says. The flip side? Shortages of homes for sale, driving up prices for would-be buyers. Mercury News
