A soon-to-publish economic report predicts America’s Cup will pump about $780 million into the Bay Area economy and generate about $14 million in revenue for San Francisco. America’s Cup CEO Stephen Barclay tells San Francisco Business Times, “This is a good news story.” Maybe. But it if happens, it’ll be barely half the $1.4 billion that a 2010 study predicted.
