Hewlett-Packard’s naming rights deal, for which it shells out $3.25 million a year, runs through 2015 but tech blog AllThingsD cites unnamed sources as saying CEO Meg Whitman wants the troubled company out of the deal as soon as this summer. City officials expressed surprise, but tell the Mercury News that if HP scrapes its name off, there should be no problem finding another sponsor.
