Report: SFPD technician at center of lab scandal to cop plea to a misdemeanor

Remember Deborah Madden, 62, the SFPD lab tech whose alleged tampering with police evidence led to prosecutors dismissing hundreds of drug cases back in 2010? After two juries deadlocked on convicting her of felony fraud charges, she’s agreed to plead guilty to misdemeanor cocaine possession, the Chronicle says, citing her lawyer. Not stealing any, mind you, but possessing it.
