Silicon Valley
Another old boys club story from Silicon Valley, where tech developer Adria Richards of San Francisco called out a group of guys at the PyCon technology conference in Santa Clara last Sunday. They were sitting behind her making sexually inappropriate jokes about a speaker when she tweeted out a picture of them and had them removed. One apparently was fired from his job over it. And now, Venture Beat blogs (and the Mercury News follows) that Richards has been let go as a so-called “developer evangelist” at SendGrid, a Colorado-based company. It isn’t returning phone calls.
