And in this morning’s baseball final—that’s after 1 a.m.—the A’s beat the Angels 10-8 at the Coliseum . . . in 19 innings. At 6 hours, 32 minutes it was the longest game in Oakland A’s history, mercifully ended by Brandon Moss’s two-run homer, his second of the game. The teams combined for 598 pitches.
