Those long-suffering folks in the far East Bay who’ve been waiting for eBART (which sounds better than dBART, for diesel) to reach them, have four more years to wait. The 10-mile, $462-million diesel train project from the Pittsburg-Bay Point BART station to Hillcrest Avenue in Antioch (with one station in between) is to open in 2017. Officials have settled on a proposed third station farther east but there’s no timeline for when it would be built, the Contra Costa Times says.
