Did co-anchor get fired for swearing on-air—or because he’s plain awful?

A. J. Clemente was canned by the NBC affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota, today after using profanity on-air seconds before his first (scheduled) words as a new co-anchor over the weekend. Poynter blogs about it. Forget the swearing. This is small-market TV that’s so bad it looks like parody.
