Elon Musk spits into the wind to improve LA’s freeway congestion

And today’s pouting rich man award goes to the guy behind Palo Alto-based Tesla Motors and SpaceX who made an early fortune after co-founding PayPal. Elon Musk says he’s “super had it” with the commute on LA’s notorious 405 freeway. (Too tough a commute to and from his Bel Air mansion.) So far he’s donated $50,000—that’s right, with 3 paltry zeroes after the comma—to help speed along a freeway improvement project. And, get this, the LA Times says the mercurial Musk is “willing to pay even more.”
