Ex-Oakland Tribune freelance photographer Ray Fluker shot to death

Former Tribune freelance photographer Lionel Fluker's picturesNo suspects apparently in the weekend shooting that claimed the life of longtime former Oakland Tribune free-lance photographer Lionel “Ray” Fluker, 54. He was shot to death at a service station in East Oakland while on his way home from the gym Friday night. Police believe the gunshot may have been intended for a passenger in his car, who was listed in critical condition at a hospital. Fluker started as an unpaid intern and went on to free-lance for the Tribune for a dozen years, from 1995 to 2007. Oakland Tribune
