Governor Gavin Newsom's statement on today's U.S. Supreme Court Proposition 8 hearing
Did someone in his press office accidentally drop the “Lt.” from his title? That’s the hed slapped on a March 26 press release about the lieutenant governor’s statement on the Supreme Court’s Prop 8 hearing. More recent press releases during the time Gov. Jerry Brown has been in China refer to Gavin as “Lt. Gov.” And then there’s yesterday’s upgrade to “Acting Governor,” as in, “Acting Governor Newsom’s Statement on Tragic Events in Boston.”
