It may be one of San Francisco’s more photographed vantage points, but the park overlooking those famous Victorians has been in tough shape for awhile now, pocked with taped-off areas to keep people from stumbling into sink holes. The problem: an obsolete, leaky irrigation system that’s reduced sections of the grassy hillside to mush. A new system, with a price tag of $2.3 million, is in the design stage, but there’s no timeline yet on when it might be installed. Bay Nature blogs about it.
