Jerry Brown’s trip to China—actual reporting

Tuesday, April 9, 2013

Unlike Mayor Ed Lee’s just-completed 8-day trip to China (the first of three he plans this year) arranged through the offices of Chinatown political pal Rose Pak and paid for by some of the same politicos and lobbyists who tagged along, there’s actually reporting about Gov. Jerry Brown’s China trip. It’s the governor’s first since 1986. (For examples, see today’s LA Times and Sacramento Bee.)

There’s also information about the 90 or so members of Brown’s delegation, which includes the usual assortment of politicos, business people and lobbyists. The LA Times lists 14 of them, including developer Lennar’s man in San Francisco, Kofi Bonner, who was also there with Lee.
