Among the writers to participate at Thursday night’s Regreturature 2013 event reading from works (their own) “that probably shouldn’t see the light of day”—Simon Rich, the 28-year-old comedy writer from Oakland who writes for The New Yorker and who was the youngest writer ever for Saturday Night Live. He maintains a purposely low profile for someone who’s had success early, and whose parents are former New York Times columnist Frank Rich and Gail Winston, an executive editor at HarperCollins. The Litquake/Writers’ Grotto-sponsored event is at the Swedish American Hall on Market Street. Oakland Tribune writes about Rich.
