Someone swipes Barry Bonds plaque at AT&T Park

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

The Giants will review a week’s worth of videotape in hopes of finding out who stole a 6-foot-high badge honoring Barry Bonds. It was glued and bolted to the bricks beyond right center field, near where the steroid-era slugger landed his 756th home run. The Chronicle says the Giants intend to replace the plaque, even as they struggle with how to honor one of the franchise’s greatest players who’s also a felon appealing an obstruction of justice conviction from the BALCO drug scandal.
