Suburbanite translates suburbia for Chron’s Lafayette crime story

Tuesday, April 2, 2013

Like a little social commentary with your mundane crime story quote? After police shot and wounded a man wielding a knife at a home in Lafayette this morning, neighbor—and bear in mind I said neighbor—Joe Farnan described the people who live where the shooting took place this way [brackets mine]:

[They are a] “typical, nice suburban family. It’s a friendly family—in fact, more friendly than other suburban people that sometimes tend to be a little standoffish. Very sweet people.”
