Del Norte Triplicate/ Bryant AndersonThat’s the 20-foot boat that washed ashore on the far Northern California coast at Crescent City April 7, and that the federal government says is the first confirmed piece of debris to reach California from the March 2011 tsunami in Japan. The boat belonged to a high school that was completely destroyed, and which used it for marine science projects, says Crescent City’s newspaper, the Del Norte Triplicate.
